Wood Apple Juice

Wood apple or Bael is not a commonly consumed fruit because of its subtle but slightly bitter taste, nevertheless it has many medicinal properties such as as relief from  indigestion, peptic ulcer, hemorrhoids, respiratory problems, diarrhea, and dysentery. It also boosts the immune system, fights off bacterial and viral infections, reduces inflammation and various inflammatory conditions and helps to prevent cancer.
   If you want to have this delicious wood apple in the form a super delicious drink then here is the recipe which does not require more than 15 minutes.



 DATABASE OF INGREDIENTS
All you need are the following
·           Ripe Wood Apple
·          Sugar / Jaggery
·          Jeera powder
·          Lime juice
·          Black salt
·          Mint leaves
·          Chilled water
·           Fresh coconut milk(optional)





ALGORITHM FOR PREPARATION
·         First of all break open the Hard shell of the fruit and scoop out all the juicy, gel like pulp of the fruit.
·         Now soak this pulp in water for few minutes till the pulp can be dissolved and completely mashed into the water.
·         Then Use a large strainer and strain the entire thick pulpy wood apple juice
·     Next take a mixer bowl pour this pulpy juice add sugar/jaggery, lime juice, jeera powder,  black salt, mint leaves and water according to the desired consistency.

GARNISHING
·         Sprinkle some Jeera powder.
·         Garnish a slice of lime and some mint leaves.

TIPS                
·         Instead of jeera you can also use cardamom pod for a variety
·         Add some fresh coconut milf to make it creamier
·         Do not store for a long period since it may get bitter in taste
