Custard n Cake Trifle with Home-made Strawberry Jam

Trifle is a very famous English Pudding which is a layered sweet dish and tastes very heavenly. Trifle generally is layered with a sponge cake layer and a thick custard. Traditionally custard is made with real eggs and is poured over a sponge cake. Here is an alternate and healthier version of trifle which tastes equally good.





DATABASE OF INGREDIENTS
All you need are the following
Sponge cake
Fruits(Apple, Pineapple, Banana, Papaya)
Sugar
Strawberry (for Jam)
•       Milk

ALGORITHM FOR PREPARATION 
1. For Strawberry Jam
Puree the strawberry.
In a pan add this puree and sugar.
Continuosly stir the mixture till the your required consistency.

2. For Custard
First take required amount of custard mixture and make it into a smooth paste with a little amount of milk.
•       Now in a sauce pan add the required amount of milk, sugar and the given paste.
•       Simmer till a thick consistency is achieved.
•       After that let it cool and add your prefered fruits.

3. To assemble trifle
•       First make a layer of cake.
•       Spread some Jam in its top.
•       Add a layer of your fruit custard and repeat till the brim.




GARNISHING
Keep a caramel mesh.
•       Make a small fruit art.

TIPS
Do not use watermelon for you custard since it will make it thinner.
Use preferably vanilla sponge cake.
•       You can also add whipped cream to make your custard fluffier.
